Michigan Teenage Shooter: Where Is Ethan Crumbley Today?
“Sins of the Parents: The Crumbley Trials” came out on Hulu on April 18, just nine days after Jennifer and James Crumbley were found guilty. The documentary, which was made by ABC News Studios, is about the Crumbley family. On November 30, 2021, their son Ethan Crumbley brought a gun to school and killed four students at Oxford High School in Oxford, Michigan. The students who died were Hana St. Juliana (14), Justin Shilling (17), Madisyn Baldwin (17), and Tate Myre (16). At that time, Ethan was 15 years old.
Who are the Crumbleys?
Court records show that Jennifer, 45, worked in marketing for a real estate company, and James, 47, worked for DoorDash. People looked closely at the couple because of how they behaved after the killing. In the hours after the event, they took money out of their son’s bank account, sold their horses, and bought four fake phones. After four days, they were caught with four phones, credit cards, $6,600 in cash, and gift cards.
James and Jennifer Crumbley were charged with four counts of involuntary killing because they were said to have ignored their son’s mental illness and left the gun out in the open at home. Ethan bought a gun from James four days before the shooting. On Instagram, Ethan called it his “new beauty.” After that, Jennifer took him to a range to shoot.
On November 30, 2021, Ethan Crumbley, a teen student at Michigan’s Oxford High School, killed four peers and hurt several others in a tragic school shooting. The reason why Ethan Crumbley did what he did has been closely looked into and questioned. Reports and court papers say that Ethan had been acting in a strange way before the shooting. He had been caught looking for guns online and making scary pictures at school. His parents were also called to a meeting with school officials to talk about how he behaved the day of the shooting, but they decided not to pull him out of school.
During the trial of his parents, it came out that Ethan had told a friend that he was hearing voices and had asked his father to take him to the doctor, but his father had told him not to worry about it. Prosecutors said Ethan’s parents had ignored his mental health problems and made it easy for him to get the gun that was used in the killing.
Ethan hasn’t given a clear reason for the killing in public. His behavior before the incident, along with evidence given at his parents’ trial, however, point to a mentally unstable child who did not receive any help or intervention from his parents.
Jennifer’s Case
The trial for Jennifer began on January 23. The prosecution said she knew her son was going “downward spiral,” but the “gun was gifted.” She was accused of “willfully disregarding the danger.” Jennifer was called a “hypervigilant” mother who loved her son very much by the defense. There were witnesses, including Brian Meloche, who Jennifer had an affair with. Jennifer used an adult dating site called AdultFriendFinder, which was brought up by the prosecutors.
James’s Case
The trial for James began in early March. Prosecutors said the shooting could have been avoided and was likely to happen because James called 911 on the day of the killing. They said he was ignoring the fact that his son’s mental health was bad. James didn’t say anything in court.
Where Is Ethan Crumbley Today?
Ethan Crumbley is now serving a life term in jail with no hope of parole. Ethan, who is now 17 years old, admitted guilt to multiple charges, including four counts of first-degree murder and one count of terrorism causing death. As a result, he was sentenced in December 2023 to life in prison without the possibility of parole. This means he will remain in prison for the rest of his life without any chance of release. He is currently in the Thumb Correctional Facility in Lapeer, MI. Last month, he allegedly got into a fight with another 17-year-old prisoner there. The sentencing ends a sad chapter in the aftermath of the shooting at Oxford High School. The town and the country are still dealing with the terrible effects of gun violence.

Cindy Reese’s Husband: What happened to Michael Reese?
Dateline NBC‘s new episode “Even the Devil Went to Church” looks into the murder of a 40-year-old husband Michael Reese, which they say was caused by a love triangle. The summary says, “When a small town Alabama resident is murdered in his home, rumors involving a local pastor begin to swirl as the truth ends up turning the community upside down.”
Michael’s wife Cindy Reese said she found a crime scene in their Morris, Alabama, home on February 18, 2015, and called 911 right away. When police arrived, they found Michael dead in the hallway. It looked like someone had broken into the house. A Piggly Wiggly bag with ham and orange juice was found at the scene of the crime. At first, it was thought to be a botched theft, but more research showed a more sinister reason.
More shocking information about Michael’s personal life came to light as the investigation went on. For example, there was a report of a love triangle. Two people with ties to the Reese family were arrested after this information came to light. Both of them blamed the other for the crime.
Who killed Michael Reese?
About one month after Michael was killed, Cindy Reese and Jeffrey Brown, who was the senior preacher at the church where Cindy was the music minister, were arrested. Brown, who has been friends with the Reese family for a long time, was said to have been having an affair with Cindy for years. Both suspects gave different versions of what happened that night that Michael died, and they both tried to put the blame on the other.
Cindy said she started seeing Brown in 2013 and that they shared a savings account. She also said that her name was on the title of his car and the lease for his apartment. She said that they started having sexual contact in the spring of 2014 and kept it up until the fall. On the other hand, Brown denied having a sexual relationship with Cindy and said that their exchanges were only friendly. The Reese and Brown families stayed close friends during this time.
After being arrested, Cindy and Brown are said to have turned against each other. The police thought that Cindy and Brown planned to kill Michael so that they could stay together. Even though both of them were charged with murder, Brown pleaded guilty to manslaughter and spoke out against Cindy.
Brown said Cindy had said many times that she wanted her husband to be killed and that on the night of the murder, she met him at a nearby gas station and gave him a gun or bracelet. Cindy said she met Brown that night, but she denied giving him those things. She said she only gave him $15 for gas. She said she went home and found the crime scene, but she would not say she saw Michael’s body. Instead, she said she only saw chaos in the house before calling 911. Prosecutors said Cindy had shot Michael before going to Piggly Wiggly and then came back to make it look like there had been a break-in.
Cindy Reese was found guilty of murder in 2017 and given a 40-year prison sentence. After pleading guilty to murder, Jeffrey Brown got 20 years in prison. The case is a sad lesson of how terrible it is to be jealous and betray someone.

S.W.A.T. Season 7 Episode 3 Recap
Michael Reese’s Wife: Where is Cindy Reese Now?
“Dateline NBC“ is a newsmagazine show that has been on for a long time and focuses on true crime stories. “Dateline NBC” showed a story called “Even the Devil Went to Church,” which was about the murder of Michael Reese in 2015 and the investigations that followed. There are a lot of details in this show about Michael’s death. What at first looked like a failed robbery was actually an execution planned by his wife, Cindy Kaye Henderson Reese, and her boyfriend, Baptist preacher Jeffrey David Brown. Now that a few years have passed, let’s find Out Where is Cindy Reese Now!
Cindy had been married to Michael since 2009, after her first husband died. Their marriage seemed happy at first, but when Cindy met Jeffrey David Brown, the senior pastor at Sardis Baptist Church, where she was the minister of music, everything changed.
Cindy and Jeffrey had an affair, which made them want to spend the rest of their lives together. The two of them started a joint savings account, and Cindy’s name was on Jeffrey’s car title and the apartment lease. Jeffrey denied having a sexual connection with Cindy, but Cindy said they were intimate from spring to fall 2014. Cindy kept having a romance even though she was on vacation with Michael. On the day of the murder, she met Jeffrey for lunch.
Friday, February 18, 2015, Cindy shot Michael in the back of the head on their way home from church and dinner. After getting food, she came back and flipped the coffee table to make it look like she was robbing someone before calling 911. Cindy wanted to be with Jeffrey, which is what the investigation showed was the reason Michael was killed.
Within a month of the murder, both Cindy and Jeffrey were caught. During the hearing, they turned on each other and tried to put the blame on someone else. Jeffrey said Cindy talked a lot about killing Michael, but Cindy said Jeffrey was crazy and angry that she wouldn’t separate Michael. Jeffrey said Cindy gave him the murder weapon and some of her “stolen” jewelry to get rid of.
Michael Reeses Wife: Where is Cindy Reese Now?
Cindy Reese, whose real name is Cindy Kaye Henderson Reese, is in the high-security Tutwiler Prison in Wetumpka, Alabama right now. In 2015, she helped kill her husband Michael Reese and was given a 40-year prison term. Cindy was sent to a work-release program in Birmingham, Alabama, in April 2019, but she has since gone back to Tutwiler Prison and is now a “minimum-out” convict. According to this description, she is not a security risk and can be given work to do off-campus without being watched by prison staff. Cindy’s first chance to get parole is in September 2030, and the earliest she could be freed without parole is September 10, 2055.
