The event, which was live-streamed from Tokyo, brought together anime fans, artists, and voice actors from all over the world to honor the best in storytelling, acting, and production.

At the heart of the celebration was Sung Jinwoo, the protagonist of Solo Leveling, who claimed multiple honors along with the show. The anime adaptation by A-1 Pictures not only thrilled fans with its action-packed visuals and character development but also stood out in nearly every major category it was nominated in.

SOLO LEVELING won Anime of the Year, beating out popular contenders like Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, DAN DA DAN, and Kaiju No. 8. The series, based on the Korean web novel by Chugong and illustrated in its webtoon form by Jang Sung-rak (Dubu), continues to impress fans with its gripping narrative and stunning animation.

Sung Jinwoo, voiced by Aleks Le in English, also took home the award for Best Main Character. His journey from the weakest hunter to a powerful, world-saving monarch captivated audiences worldwide. The English dub performance by Aleks Le was so strong that it also earned him the Best Anime Voice Artist Performance – English award.

It also won for Best New Anime Series, Best Action Anime, Best Anime Score (composed by Hiroyuki Sawano) and Best Ending Sequence for the krage song “request.” The anime also won awards for voice acting in other languages. Charles Emmanuel (Brazilian Portuguese) and Masumi Mutsuda (Castilian Spanish) were both praised for their roles as Jinwoo.
