Grey’s Anatomy season 19 episode 7 Recap

When the episode started, the residents were vying for the chance to scrub in on Maggie and Winston’s historic partial heart transplant for newborn Arlo. For Zola Maggie undergoes a potentially life-changing operation. A newborn has undergone a partial heart transplant. There has never been a successful attempt at this kind of surgery. The parents’ concerns are understandable. Fear prevents them from going through with the operation. The parents are patiently waiting for their child to have a fully developed heart. Jo argues passionately to influence their thoughts. The uncertainty stems from the fact that this operation is experimental. Amelia’s conversation with the parents is what ultimately causes a change of heart on their part. She discusses her grief over the death of her son Arlo Christopher. She assures them that if there was any chance he could have survived, she would have done whatever it took to ensure that. Teddy is curious about the process of finding the next surgical chief. She subtly indicates her interest in the position. As Richard says that they won’t be getting any more money for the performance, Teddy hesitates to accept the offer.

In the midseason finale, after Maggie and Winston performed a surgical miracle, the married couple resolved their argument. Presumably, he had been waiting for an apology from her for her earlier comment that she didn’t respect his desire to switch specializations in order to salvage their marriage during the 2 weeks that had gone on screen. He also realized that he had ignored his wife’s coldness throughout their marriage, despite the fact that it was a facet of her character he did not admire. Meredith and Nick, another couple at a turning point, had an argument. It really irritated him that she hadn’t called back. She was upset because he hadn’t reciprocated her “I love you.” He couldn’t believe she’d up and left without even telling him. She was upset because he had given her conflicting messages and she had assumed it was fine to make the decision to relocate without consulting him. He walked off indignantly after learning that his lover blamed him for the breakup.
Shortly after, Mer and Nick were faced with a more urgent problem: children’s author Tessa had returned, and she was bleeding to death. Lucas intended to argue for an emergency transfer to the operating room but refrained for social reasons. Sadly, she passed away while being operated on as a result. After that, Meredith was as forthright as possible about how she felt. The intern later helped cheer up Mer by telling her that Tessa had saved her final book on a thumb drive while she was healing her scars with Simone.
Meanwhile, Teddy made a strong plea to Richard about becoming the next head. Then, after he extended a job offer, she requested some time to consider it. For another sexual encounter, Jules told Blue about her history of infant phobia. Taryn poured some whiskey and honesty for Nick at Joe’s while the Grey Sloan staff toasted Meredith and ended up eating bar-mitzvah dessert. The core of her criticism was that Mer is incredible and loves him for some reason, so if he messes up, he’s a fool.
Nick rushed from Helm’s lecture to catch a flight to see Mer in a movie. He called to tell her he loved her when he realized he wouldn’t make it, but she pretended she didn’t hear him. By the time the clock struck midnight, Maggie had already requested a sleepover at Amelia’s new place, and Lucas and Simone had arrived at Mer’s smokehouse. They were invited to stay at Amelia and Mer’s by Amelia herself. Although Lucas and Simone were roommates, she was still reluctant to hook up with him because she had just gotten engaged. After all, Maggie had offered Mika to spend at the house, so there would be three of them. Although the rent was unbeatable, the apartment did have a roof crack.
